本系列教材包括語言技能發(fā)展、跨文化交際能力發(fā)展和通用學(xué)術(shù)交流能力發(fā)展三個(gè)子系列，語言技能發(fā)展系列教程著重發(fā)展學(xué)生的通用英語技能。在該系列教材的開發(fā)中，我們將分期、分批建設(shè)若干門大學(xué)英語高級(jí)技能發(fā)展課程教材，其中包括：網(wǎng)絡(luò)視聽、翻譯實(shí)踐、網(wǎng)上閱讀、高級(jí)閱讀、口譯技巧、應(yīng)用寫作等。跨文化交際能力發(fā)展系列教程著眼于擴(kuò)展學(xué)生的國際文化視野，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生將英語作為國際交流語言使用的能力。在該系列教材的開發(fā)中，我們擬建設(shè)的教材有中西方文化概論、英語文化解讀、英語演講與辯論、跨文化交際、世界文明與文化導(dǎo)論、科技與人文、文學(xué)選讀、經(jīng)典作品欣賞、影視欣賞等。通用學(xué)術(shù)交流能力發(fā)展系列教程重在發(fā)展學(xué)生使用英語進(jìn)行相關(guān)專業(yè)學(xué)術(shù)交流的能力。在該系列課程的開發(fā)中，我們將重點(diǎn)建設(shè)兩大類別的專業(yè)學(xué)術(shù)英語課程，即a類教材和b類教材。其中，a類教材以學(xué)術(shù)研究和職業(yè)技能為基礎(chǔ)，包括學(xué)術(shù)寫作、學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議、批判性思維等;b類教材以專業(yè)知識(shí)為基礎(chǔ)，提供能供雙語教學(xué)使用的專業(yè)通用基礎(chǔ)教材，從而將專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)與語言學(xué)習(xí)有機(jī)地結(jié)合起來。

Findings
A number of employees clearly suffer from a lackof motivation as a result of dissatisfaction in one ormore areas of their work. The key findings areoutlined below:
Staff feel undervalued by the company, both ona financial and a personal level. It is generally felt thatthe companyˇs competitors offer higher levels of remuneration. The perception that themanagers are unappreciative of staff efforts is particularly noticeable in the Sales Department.
Certain employees feel under-challenged. The company is clearly not exploiting its humanresources.
There appears to be a breakdown of communication in the Production Department. Theconfusion and resultant ill-feeling towards managers has the potential to disrupt theproduction cycles.
Recommendations
We strongly recommend the following measures:
An evaluation of job profiles throughout the company to assess whether skills could beutilised more efficiently
A review of the current salary structure involving the comparison with similarorganisations
It is also essential to investigate and take action regarding the communication in theProduction and Sales Department.
