Although in written English, there’re spaces between every word, in spoken English there’re always never pauses between words.

雖然在書(shū)面英語(yǔ)當(dāng)中，每個(gè)單詞之間是有空的，而在英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)中經(jīng)常是單詞之間是沒(méi)有停頓的。

In order to understand spoken English, it is essential to understand how this linking is done.

為了能懂英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)，懂得如何連音是非常重要的。

Today let’s concentrate on the most common sound linking situation.

今天我們來(lái)關(guān)注最普通的連音情況。

Whenever a word ending in a consonant sound is followed by a word beginning with a vowel sound, the consonant sound is linked to the vowel sound as if they were part of the same word.

若以輔音結(jié)尾的單詞后面跟著以元音開(kāi)頭的單詞，這個(gè)輔音就和后面的元音連在一起發(fā)音，如同這兩個(gè)音構(gòu)成了一個(gè)單詞。

Let’s look at some examples.

讓我們來(lái)看一些例子。

I’d like another bowl of rice, please.

我想再要一碗飯。

First, note that although there’re six words in the sentence, all the words are linked together without pause.

首先，注意下雖然這個(gè)句子里有六個(gè)單詞，但是所有的單詞都沒(méi)有停頓地連在一起。

Listen again.

再聽(tīng)一遍。

I’d like another bowl of rice, please.

我想再要一碗飯。

Now listen to how the words “l(fā)ike” and “another” are linked.

現(xiàn)在聽(tīng)下單詞 “l(fā)ike”和 “another”是如何連在一起的。

“Like another”, “l(fā)ike-another”. “Like” ends in a consonant sound, and “another” begins with a vowel sound.

單詞 “l(fā)ike” 是以輔音結(jié)束的，而單詞 “another” 是以元音開(kāi)始的。

So the “k” from “l(fā)ike” is linked to the “a” from “another” to produce “kanother”.

因此，單詞 “l(fā)ike” 中的 “k” 和單詞 “another” 中的 “a” 連在一起發(fā) “kanother”.

Listen to the example sentence again.

In the sentence there is another example of a consonant being linked to a vowel.

A bowl of, a bowl-of. A bowl of, a bowl-of.

It sounds like that you’re saying the word “l(fā)ove”.

This sound linking is probably the biggest problem for learners of English when they try to understand native speaker’s talking.

1、單詞，詞組的復(fù)習(xí)

A按詞匯表復(fù)習(xí)單詞。

2.句子的復(fù)習(xí)

句子是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的重點(diǎn)，通過(guò)各種方法幫助學(xué)生梳理學(xué)過(guò)的句子

(1)指導(dǎo)學(xué)生在語(yǔ)境中復(fù)習(xí)句子，讓學(xué)生分清日常交際用語(yǔ)的運(yùn)用場(chǎng)合。

(2)根據(jù)句子類型指導(dǎo)學(xué)生在比較中復(fù)習(xí)句子，并在歸類復(fù)習(xí)的同時(shí)，進(jìn)行專項(xiàng)性練習(xí)。
