連接代詞指連接主語從句、賓語從句、表語從句和同位語從句的代詞。連接代詞主要包括表示疑問的連接代詞和不表示疑問的連接代詞，前者稱為普通連接代詞，后者稱為復合式連接代詞。
連接代詞主要包括：who，whom，whose，which，what，whoever，whomever，whosever，whichever，whatever等。
1.普通連接代詞
普通連接代詞在名詞性從句中表示疑問，作從句的特定成分。
Whowillbeelectedpresidentofthecompanywon'tbeknownuntillatethisafternoon.(who引導主語從句，在從句中作主語，表示疑問。)
今天下午晚些時候，我們才能知道誰將被選為公司老總。

注意：
who不表示疑問的這種用法現在越來越多地被whoever所替代。
(2)what
what相當于anythingthat...或allthat...或somethingthat...任何事、……的事。
